Architect Your Calendar and Energy: Make Time for What Matters Most | Late Summer Reset, Part 3

Season #1

Episode 48 Show Notes Architect Your Calendar and Energy: Make Time for What Matters Most Clarity to Commitment: A Late Summer Reset — Part 3

You can say your health matters. Your marriage matters. Your faith matters. Your family matters. Your goals matter. But eventually, what matters has to compete for actual space in a 24-hour day. And your calendar tells the truth.

In Part 3 of the Clarity to Commitment: A Late Summer Reset series, Rev. Dr. Juliet Spencer—Certified High Performance Coach known as The Decision Architect—challenges you to stop creating schedules for the person you wish you were and start designing your time around the life you actually want to live. Managing your time without managing your energy is incomplete.

Drawing from the example of Jesus intentionally withdrawing to pray even while needs remained, Juliet explores why rest isn't something you earn after everything is finished. It's one of the decisions you make about how you will do the work.

You'll  learn a practical four-part framework for architecting your week:

  • What deserves your best energy?
  •  What needs a boundary?
  • Where will recovery happen?
  • What are you willing to leave undone in this season?

As Craig Groeschel puts it: “Schedule your values.”

Your calendar doesn't need to be rigid or perfectly optimized. It needs to bear some resemblance to the life you say you want to live.

Your Move This Week: Take out your calendar and identify one place where your schedule contradicts what you say matters. Then make one structural change. Move something. Remove something. Protect something. Schedule something. You don't need to redesign your entire life. You need to make one decision that brings your calendar back into alignment with what matters most. Architects don't simply admire the blueprint; they build!

Scripture

Psalm 90:12 (NRSV) “So teach us to count our days that we may gain a wise heart.”

Luke 5:16 (NRSV) “But he would withdraw to deserted places and pray.”

Remember: Everyone deserves the opportunity to make a good decision. And your best decisions come when you remember that your identity isn't rooted in how much you accomplish. Your identity is rooted in the love of God.

In This Episode: You'll discover how to:

  • Align your calendar with what you say matters most
  • Work with your natural energy instead of pretending it's unlimited
  • Stop automatically giving your best energy to whatever shouts the loudest
  • Use boundaries as architecture rather than punishment
  • Build recovery into your schedule before exhaustion demands it
  • Decide intentionally what will remain undone in this season
  • Make one practical change before September begins
